See the ‘Partners’ below? That’s KIP and KFN. Guess when they are hooking up? Why have them in the pie chart – to make it look like they are contributing almost half? Those of us in Phase 1a are to pay for the initial piping and pump stations, why say the total project is costing $63 million if the ‘Partners’ are waiting to connect financing their own collection systems?

$39,000. divided by 25 years is $1560. per year. That appears to be low balling according to their figures. Then add $2500. to $8500. one time cost to connect and decommission old septic system. We’re getting close to $50,000. After all these years of presenting us with sewage – why are we never provided with an actual plan and costs. Everything is so wishy washy – figures could be out by as much as 40% for something that we have no vote/say. In 2016 it was going to be $2000. a year amortized over 30 years. Area A Director touted the cost savings by being accepted into Courtenay’s system instead of building a new system and then the $30 million grant. Here we are heading for those 2016 numbers.

Ole slick promised we would be able to hook up to KIP’s wastewater treatment system. From the video is appears KIP and KFN aren’t in Phase 1a. So KIP & KFN won’t be paying per hookup but instead will be financing their own collection system.

Is this because ole slick is building strata units like when the CVRD said the piping didn’t have to meet their standards because KIP was installing it in strata lots? I don’t see how this benefits everyone and like everything ole slick touches – stinks.

No money up front – will wait for the system to be in place and then hook in. All the people who still support this guy – try facing the fact you were sold a whole whack of bullshit from this sleazy developer who has given the community fuck all.
