Some Union Bay Improvement District Trustees Want to Change the Rules to Accommodate Their Agenda

This board is a real piece of work.  They huff and puff and get all excited and offended when people are brave enough to call them out on their lousy tactics.

They want to hide behind a code of conduct and yet it appears the code of conduct was breached when Loxam sent the email to Kaljur, not when Kaljur read it out:

Susan I thought the full moon was over.  You are like a broken record.  The only ratepayers you represent are part of your political CULT.  You should put your efforts into pulling this community together instead of tearing it apart.  Seeing that you are so heavily involved in the ‘Protect Our Water’ group. why aren’t you and your members putting a huge amount of effort into protecting our water at Langley Lake from Timberlands logging????? It would show that you cared about the community instead of destroying our communities development for our future.

Exactly one year ago Trustee Loxam had a late item added to the agenda at the November 2016 UBID meeting (their very first official board meeting) wanting to grant Kensington Island Properties an extension to the EXPIRED 2011 Water Infrastructure Agreement.  Trustees Loxam, Bitten and Jacques voted in favour of the motion in spite of the flaws in the agreement pointed out by Trustee Elliott.  The three were adamant on the wording of the motion and refused to seek legal advice before approving the motion.

Trustee Elliott expressed concern that the item was on the agenda but the Trustees were not given a copy of the 2011 WIA for consideration.  Chair Jacques throws a copy on the table in front of Trustee Elliott.

News For Union Bay Tappin Street Landowners – Another Kensington Island Properties Promise Goes Poof!

To those fools who have supported KIP all these years believing the land behind their properties on Tappin St., would be given to them or sold for next to nothing by KIP – you were sold a bill of goods, suckers, marks, gullible etc.

Why would you think you would get something for nothing?  Why would you believe someone who has never fulfilled any of the wild promises made over the last 20 years?

The red arrows show where the access to the parks and trails will be off of Tappin St.  Someone has constructed a fence and gate preventing access but I imagine that will have to change.

I am delighted that this area will now be parks and trails.  Something good came of all this after all.

This is just a portion of what that area looked like in 2013.  There is a lot less of the designated park and trail area 4 1/2 years later.  The lots are only 125 ft. deep.

 

Forget what KIP promised in July 2011 about how they were going to beautify the area near Argyle and how that was going to be developed first.  Word has it KIP is going to develop the waterfront area in between the coal hill and the log sort.

A Perfect Example of Why Union Bay is Such a Screwed Up Community

At the November 16, 2017 UBID board meeting, Trustee Susanna Kaljur put forth a motion that was approved by a 3 to 2 vote.

That motion and discussion was 18 minutes and nineteen seconds.

The UBID Admin claims to have accidentally erased 17 minutes of the November meeting.  What a coincidence since that 17 minutes was Kaljur’s motion and only 58 seconds appear on the UBID video.

NOTE:  Trustee Kaljur received a copy of the letter requesting she resign 3 hours before the meeting last night.  The letter was received by UBID on Dec. 8, 2017.  It appears as thought the whole thing was orchestrated because the majority of this board cannot take any criticism and manipulates correspondence as they fear their tactics will be exposed.

In my opinion, the folks who composed/signed this letter are either really stupid or they are going by the fragmented video provided by UBID which eliminated Kaljur’s motion.  I tend to believe it’s the former if past history is any indicator.  I can hardly wait to see who the idiots are who can’t follow what’s going on at a meeting and yet are the first to tell everyone else how to think.

My remarks aren’t personal as I don’t know who these goofs are yet.  Hope Santa brings them a brain.
