Kudos to this young person for tackling this thorny issue. Looking forward to reading what those who support this operation have to counter the environmental issues that have been raised by those opposed and the many violations currently facing DWR.

Was not surprised to see the comment trying to discourage this budding journalist to write about something else as DWR is a ‘can of worms’. That’s one of the many problems that runs rampant through this community – don’t speak up about problems and if you ask questions, you will be shut down as quickly as possible. This community is a whole pantry full of cans of worms – take your pick. The problem is all those cans of worms have relatives and friends they are protecting right her in dysfunctional Union Bay. If Astrid was writing about the treated sewage being dumped in the creek, there would be someone telling her to write about something else.
