VP of Union Bay Estates aka Kensington Island Properties, Brian McMahon Aug. 11, 2009 in the Comox Valley Echo. Zero remediation since that statement. In fact, KIP violated the MDA by subdividing the 27 contaminated acres it owned and turned it over to the province. MDA stipulated that no subdivision would take place before the developer met the conditions of the MDA.

Not one house built. No sewer – can’t build without a sewage system in place.

The same bullshit but from different people. Again, the marina, JFC. It never ends. Union Bay is a magnet for bullshit. The post is from Aug. 16, 2022 and they don’t care that they are just parroting the same bullshit phrases from KIP. Ya, I don’t think much of any developer/builder who pushes KIP’s bullshit. They seem to forget the people who live here and want to rebuild the community. Just like when the sleazy developer called the development the “Union Bay Community” – one of the many name changes to hide the fact nothing ever happens and has to rebrand itself again. Wake up – you’re being screwed royally by KIP and those that encourage the bullshit. These guys don’t give a shit about you or Union Bay. It’s all about the money – to hell with what happens to the community.

Oceanside with mountain views… simply epic.

Union Bay Estates, which is also known as the Kensington lands, is a comprehensive development area offering a complete suite of homes from condos to hilltop estates and ocean front homes too. Just south of Courtenay/Comox overlooking Denman Island and the Georgia Strait, Union Bay Estates will redefine what it means to live in the Comox Valley.

About Union Bay

The Camerons are unbelievably excited to be building homes at Union Bay Estates, It’s going to be what we call a lifetime project.

Combined with over 300 acres of parks, protected greenspace, an extensive trail network, and new municipal infrastructure, Union Bay will offer condo buildings, townhouses, single family homes and more, all of which are going to have beautiful views in an awesome residential neighborhood.

The developers have 800 amazing acres to work with here. Their plan for the future is to build an entirely new revamped self-sustainable community – a world where you can live, work, and play year-round. In the first phase, there are 39 lots;  a large portion of which sit right on the beautiful waterfront walkout. The project has a number of phases, including a marina, and a big commercial section, including bistros, restaurants, banks, and grocery stores.

“You’ll see the whole mountain range on this side and you have the double view… it’s epic”

Cameron is proud to be one of the exclusive home builders for Union Bay Estates, so if you have any questions we’d love to chat. As you know we are a family-run business, still fairly young and energetic (we think😊) and maybe one day we’ll even have our kids working on this project with us.

Oceanside Marina

The first phase of Union Bay Estates will feature a 200-slip marina village with shopping, dining, entertainment, hotels, office space, and a mix of multi-family residential, condominiums, work/live spaces, retirement housing, and oceanfront single-family homes.

What else?

The scenery is just spectacular. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the park and trail system that extends from the ocean to the edge of the community in the west, providing a spectacular natural amenity.

Paddleboarding after breakfast, a short oceanside trail walk and a midday latte, topped off with fresh salmon for dinner while watching the sunset. What else do you want in life?
