Had never given much thought to how big semi cabs are moved/towed until I saw the Deep Water Recovery business model at work. They have the Swiss Army Knife of machines with that blue one – it’s their go-to machine. Witness how efficient the operator is, lifting those back set of wheels, pulling the rig backwards, ending the operation by pushing the rig forward and sideways – all without anyone in the cab steering. That has to be good for the rig – right?

Two trucks arrived with their boxes full today, and the items were stored in the shipping container that was delivered yesterday. Then they moved the Johnny on the Spot and a large truck to the front of the area with the roof from the bunkhouse straddled across other shipping containers, using the large blue piece of equipment.

Same blue piece of equipment then lifts the newly delivered container with the doors open, only to lower it and unload the items they just stored in it. ????
Spent most of the flights just hanging watching the antics.

Is this how these big semi cabs are moved with no one steering as it’s being pushed forward in the video below?
