MLA Josie Osborne’s office said what was reported yesterday was a large amount of ‘purple seaweed’.

“This runoff is then directed into an oil/water separator at the site, preventing any impacts to marine.” Is Osborne referring to this filtration system for the entire site?

MP Gord Johns office provided an update from DFO. “…the source of the small spill was from a vessel that was being removed from the marine environment for deconstruction…”
