Deep Water Recovery ship breaking – did they only post a $25,000. remediation bond?

Thanks to the landowner who sent me this showing it was $25,000. (not $20,000.) security for the leased area on the last page. Very strong language which we now know means nothing as DWR continues to violate this very lease with elected officials too scared to enforce their own agreements.

Hear Josie Osborne on the radio today announcing her run again in the upcoming election, going on about how proud she is of her accomplishments in the last 4 years. Wow, Josie – you proud of the nightmare created on your watch – Deep Water Recovery ship breaking on the beach, polluting year after year.

Still hiding/refusing to come to Union Bay because she knows she’s screwed us. Can’t say she’s been useless – it’s much worse – she’s endangering all those who earn their living harvesting from the pristine waters of Baynes Sound by allowing what has been described as “acutely toxic” pollutants to entire the Sound. Osborne has known for years and simply refuses to act.

On the Union Bay Bulletin Board people were discussing the remediation costs landowners will likely face if this foreign owned company up and leaves. According to one person Deep Water Recovery only posted a $20,000. remediation bond. Shut this shitshow down now before it gets much, much worse. I’d rather pay now and have them gone than the potential harm from this company every single day. Look where they position pieces to be torched apart. Thug Jurisich doesn’t give a shit about Union Bay or Canada.
