They called the RCMP on me for barking back at the dogs who came barking and running towards me. The officer said he tried calling me and there was no answer, so this call ranked up there as high priority and the cop actually drove from Courtenay out to my house. The RCMP jump when the thug calls – this is how taxpayer dollars are spent. šŸ™‚

I was standing there taking pictures for about 5 minutes. If I was breaking the law, why didn’t Ruttan or the flipping the bird guy record me?

With the berm down it’s a window on DWR’s site, up close. Might start flying the drone from that spot since it’s easy to keep the drone in line of sight and so much closer.

Luna on the left. This is the dog I found in the middle of the 4 lanes a couple of months ago. Not the first time the dog was standing on the highway with horns honking. Lousy owners.

May 27, 2024, as I was getting ready to fly the drone, I heard a horn honk and saw a dog just standing in the middle of the 4 lanes. Got out of my car and went down to the highway and coaxed it to the side of the highway. Didn’t have a lead and a neighbour (Kathy) came out with a lead and I attached it to the collar. Kathy said she was pretty sure it was from DWR and there was no way I was setting foot on their property, no matter the reason. I didn’t want to take the dog to the pound and Kathy offered to take the dog across the highway to DWR and as she neared the gate, the thug arrived and stopped by Kathy, who followed him and turned the dog loose when Jurisich got out of the car.

Then July 6, 2024, it’s the same dog running loose near a 4 lane highway.

I know there was a third time as someone witnessed it but have no evidence.
