Notice the concrete blocks encircling the area where they used to cut up steel and pile the filings were removed in 2022 and now they just cut up the steel close to the edge of the asphalt with no containment for the filings left behind. DWR then sweeps the fine particles onto the soil. Where did DWR dispose of those piles?

Notice those filthy hay bales and how the runoff bypasses their so called filtration system? Also, DWR removed the bales from the trenches dug in the soil to supposedly prevent particles from entering the marine environment. DWR doesn’t bother with hay bales anywhere now.

Also, where did the new piles (see last 2 images) of filings go that was visible for months? Video shows DWR making piles from the material left on the barge and dismantling the upper portion. Buried when they were repositioning the berm? DWR doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt and certainly didn’t deserve a reduction in the Administrative Penalty.

The video below show DWR scooping up debris from torching apart upper part of barge and adding to the piles of material.

Piles visible Sept. 9/24
Piles gone Sept. 14/24. Just happens to coincide with the repositioning of the berm. Wanna bet those piles were buried?
