They’ve started priming the barge Dynamic Steel Repair is working on. Gee, do you think they’ll put anything in place to prevent paint, etc. from reaching the soil when they start priming the side of the barge straddling the asphalt and soil?

Worker is geared up for protection – the environment – not so much.
Looks like they gave up trying to lift the silo off. All the rigging is gone as well as the cranes.
They’re dumping the concrete and debris from the barge with the silo – visible in the beginning of the video.

THIS CEMENT SILO WAS WE BELIEVE REMOVED FROM THE POPULAR DYKE ROAD BIRD VIEWING AREA, A FEW YEAR AGO. AN UGLY RUSTING EYESORE INDEED.
WE HOPED WE WOULD NEVER SEE IT AGAIN,BUT, LIKE A ‘BAD SMELL ,IT RETURNED !!!
THIS WAS DONE BY THE ”SIERRA CLUB” C.V.CHAPTER, UNDER MR MIKE BELL’S LEADERSHIP, FORCING THE C.V.R.D. & THE CEMENT COMPANY TO REMOVE THIS POLLUTING EYE SORE. THIS HAPPENED ALONG SIDE OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS AS WE ALL WORKED TOGETHER,UNITED,AND AS ONE.
