This is a good example of whether the laws we abide by as Canadians are optional because there seems to be no penalty for ignoring/breaking laws by this foreign owned, filthy, polluting ship breaking business. Zero penalties or consequences. They brought this rusty barge up after their foreshore lease was cancelled, so the trespassed. Now they’re ripping apart the rusty barge and grinding all the debris into the soil. Hello – is anyone out there?

Mark Jurisich and Robert Bohn Sr. have zero respect for Canada and Area A Director Daniel Arbour, MLA Josie Osborne have allowed DWR to continue doing whatever the f*ck they please. This is Osborne’s shit to clean up – this happened on her watch and she’s failed to follow through on enforcement.

Arbour has been completely useless – the CVRD started their lawsuit in April 2022 – I started mine in June 2022. My case was held up for 2 years because DWR fought the Protection of Public Participation Act which they lost in early 2024. Jason then set down a trial date for Oct. 2025. The CVRD completed Examinations for Discovery and as far as I know still don’t have a trial date. That is not a case that is being pursued – it’s being intentionally slow walked for whatever reason – but it stinks. At the Nov. meeting in Nov. 2024 Arbour talked about a case that went on for 6 years. Guess he was conditioning the hillbillies to not ask him questions.

eDaniel isn’t in it to win – he’s making a career out of being a politician walking that fine line so he doesn’t upset anyone who might help his political career. He’s not a fighter like MP Gord Johns who isn’t afraid to stick his neck out or rock the boat on behalf of those he represents. Arbour was installed by Brian McMan aka Kensington Island Properties aka Union Bay Estates flunkies on the Union Bay Improvement District Board who campaigned for him and against Jim Elliott because McMahon couldn’t manipulate Jim. Arbour has performed as I expected he would – never coming clean about KIP/UBE obvious financial problems and choosing to string people along until the foreclosure signs went up. Still waiting for my answer about whether KIP provided a “serviced lot” for the Firehall. Arbour’s waiting for everyone else to clean up the Deep Water Recovery mess. Useless.
