This is a follow up on this post: https://allthingsunionbay.wordpress.com/2021/05/17/union-bay-estates-aka-kensington-island-properties-ole-slick-finally-applies-for-permit-1-year-after-commencing-work-on-the-borrow-pit/

A fellow landowner sent me a copy of the letter they sent to the Inspector of Mines and allowed me to publish it.

Here’s the first page of a “Report of Inspector of Mines – Health and Safety” dated Jan. 11, 2021. Full report with pics at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nZO5bIfHeAtMPAuusukK_zixwQczOFNo/view?usp=sharing

“An estimated 3000 to 5000 tones of overburden and gravel were noted to have been excavated.”

Excavated without a permit. Also no permit was issued by the CVRD for the clearing around the borrow pit.

Borrow pit

Email received today by an individual who has been asking about the building permit for the Discovery Centre, the 6 affordable housing lots required and the turning over of the parks and trails as well as the permit for the clearing above. Ole slick hasn’t done any of it.
