Picked up my copy of Down by the Bay and noticed the Community Club suffered major damage due to pipes bursting. That’s a hell of a deductible. Is that the best insurance coverage they could get?
All floors need replacing as well as some walls and ceilings.
What I don’t get is why they are asking for $10,000. worth of donations from the community. There is no mention as to how much money they have towards the deductible. Are we to believe the Community Club doesn’t have any funds?
How did the pipes freeze? We’ve had colder winters than this one. Was there heat to make sure the pipes wouldn’t freeze?
Just an odd story, in my opinion.
