I made reference to their filtration system here: https://allthingsunionbay.com/2023/04/24/deep-water-recovery-ship-breaking-it-is-absolutely-mandatory-that-the-site-is-maintained-in-pristine-condition/

As I post more of these videos check out each one that shows that white rectangle at the base of the property. That is their filter system to prevent unwanted materials from entering the ocean.

What is important to remember, the videos show when dismantling is taking place on soil and when it is taking place on a paved asphalt surface. Also, the paved surface is not a complete rectangle. A large section of the south west portion is soil and is clearly visible when the soil is wet.

Since I’ve been flying over DWR the majority of dismantling has taken place on soil with everything flowing downhill towards the ocean. The only precautions appear to be trenches with bales at their base and some black plastic.

So little has flowed down to their ‘filtration system’ and it’s not in any way kept ‘pristine’ according to the images captured and fluid appears to bypass their filtration and to immediately enter into the ocean Dec. 18, 2022.

It appears the filtration system was overloaded and useless on June 9, 2023 as well – and this is when they did minimal dismantling on the paved surface. These guys don’t know what they are doing.

Don’t believe your lyin eyes. Look at the videos at the end of this post of May 1, and June 9, 2023, which shows the flow and direction of liquids from the dismantling.

I noticed clean bales of hay Oct. 24, 2022 in image below. I haven’t noticed any new bales since.

This look pristine to you? This is yesterday and look at how efficient the system must be – it’s a slap stick mess. You will also note how often liquid flows from that lower green barge and often if flows onto the grass sections which have mysteriously died.
