Landowners presented a petition to become a service area of the CVRD at the first meeting of the new green board.
Jacques wanted to file it and forget it. In the end they agreed to discuss it and update the electorate at the next meeting.
Gutless wonders decided it was an In-Camera issue which is bullshit because they couldn’t justify ignoring the wishes of the landowners.
Here’s know-it-all Loxam bullshitting about it being an In-Camera discussion. There are specific subjects to be dealt with In-Camera and this did not fall under any category that would make it so.
Here’s Jacques claiming the CVRD doesn’t want anything to do with Union Bay as an excuse not to act on the petition.
The goofs managed to put off facing what the electorate wanted until November 2017 when Kaljur brings up Union Bay becoming a service area again. This time to write a letter requesting the pros and cons and she provides facts to back up her motion. The grants that would we could access that aren’t available to Improvement Districts.
Bitten of course is against it. McMahon didn’t want Union Bay to become a service area because it was easier to pat the hillbillies on the head and tell them how smart they are and don’t need anyone – they can negotiate directly with KIP.
Jim Elliott explains it to the goofs what the letter involves. Bitten wasn’t at the meeting so he didn’t know what he was talking about. Jim Elliott and Susanna Kaljur actually listened to the information from the CVRD and were able to convey that to the landowners.
The inexperienced admin the pro kip trustees hired had no gov’t experience – none. They prevented me from video recording, bought a Go Pro camera that the admin couldn’t figure out how to operate. Eventually they hired a guy renting in Union Bay and paid him to turn the camera on and off. Then waiting for Gordo to actually upload to Youtube. When I recorded the meetings it didn’t cost the landowners a penny and the videos were available the same night as the meeting.
He says it was an honest mistake the missing 17 minutes which included Kaljur’s motion and Jacques agreeing there was no harm in getting information. Gordo says “I’m not a dishonest person, shit happens”. Who feels the need to say that?
It gets worse.
January 2018 meeting Gordon Mason screws up and didn’t video record or audio record the entire meeting. Now remember they changed the by-laws to prevent me from video recording the meetings but I always audio recorded them because these guys can’t be trusted. So guess what Gordo did? He used what they would have viewed as my illegal recording to compose the minutes of the meeting.
Jacques, Loxam and Bitten refused to allow Kaljur’s motion (missing 17 minutes) to proceed and instead Bitten brings forward a completely new motion and ignores what took place at the Dec. 2017 meeting.
Listen to Jacques insist the motion is the same and cowardly refuses to answer. These 3 guys were in the drivers seat and they made decisions that impacted the community.
Loxam went on and on about building the water treatment plant and touting that our parcel taxes wouldn’t increase. That’s not something to crow about – that’s why Ian Munro’s board was scrambling to find $135K for a bathroom and office that wasn’t built into the treatment plant building. It was incompetence not good financial planning.
Some people get to ask multiple questions – depends on who you are. It’s the Union Bay way.
