The information offered here is not an attempt for sympathy, support, friendship or any response from anyone. I don’t care what your opinion is of me or desire your approval – this is about what standards are acceptable to you as a community.

Jason Gratl’s opinion is important to me:

I love working with Mary Reynolds because I’m a proponent of free expression and she’s one of the rare people in Canada who will make full use of her right to free expression all the way to the edges of that right. Not everyone will take the social and legal risks of speaking their mind. Mary, if she sees something happening that she finds inappropriate, she’ll communicate that to others.

Who occupies the positions that represent your vision of what makes Union Bay a place you’re proud to call home is important. Those are the landowners who guide your attention to issues they determine to need attention and (I would hope) are in the best interest of all landowners.

I have known about what took place at the UBCC since 2022, and now after winning the case in Oct./25 against Mark Jurisich of Deep Water Recovery and forcing him to pay a total of $210K for a $1K drone, it’s time to give you a heads up. Multiple people over the last 3 years have confirmed what transpired.

This is for your information only as I will deal with Rick Weaver and the others with respect to what they did to me.

This is for you and a test of your commitment – do you have the courage to stand up?

On June 11/22 I was robbed of my drone by Mark Jurisich of Deep Water Recovery while in the UBCC parking lot.

On June 15/22 I was parked in the UBBC parking lot which was completely empty when Jurisich pulled up in front of my car, blocking my exit and jumped out of his truck, blah blah. You get the picture.

A few days after the second incident and contacting counsel Jason Gratl, a landowner suggested I contact UBCC for security footage of what took place. I did and received not just the 1 minute 20 seconds of June 11/22 I wanted, but hours on a jump drive which I returned.

When I requested the video of the June 15/22 footage I was first told the camera had been bumped out of position, then I was told due to privacy issues and UBCC’s fear of litigation. Now I knew I was being lied to – but I had bigger fish to fry.

So these are the basic facts. My second request prompted Rick Weaver to state “you know who this is?” to other UBCC members and it was decided not to provide me with me the video based on “who I was”. You might want to check and see who was on the UBCC board in June of 2022 and ask them.

Now I don’t know what Weaver’s personal beef is with me but he’s never indicated a problem. Darcy Rainey was not on the board at the time and also didn’t want the video released to me. I’m not sure why Rainey would have a say.

Those involved in the discussions of June 2022 knew I had one video of the June 11/22 video and they withheld the June 15/22 video. They did this thinking it would harm my case and in turn harm me. It’s one thing to have a personal opinion or even to remain neutral, but that’s not what they did. They went out of their way to prevent me from having information they knew was part of my legal case.

They believed the only video evidence was this. They went out of their way to help an unknown male get away with robbing a landowner they don’t like.

I wasn’t surprised at the time because that’s what festers under the surface behind all those who look down on others and try to pass themselves off as an example to be admired and praised.

The fear of releasing the second video to me was supposedly it could put UBCC in legal jeopardy. Tell me if Weaver’s actions puts UBCC in legal jeopardy since Weaver was acting on behalf of UBCC when he made that decision. It wasn’t a personal decision, it was Union Bay Community Club decision to punish a landowner they don’t approve of. Darcy Rainey’s was a personal decision.

I didn’t need the UBCC video as I had dash cam, phone video, security camera video etc., so Jason didn’t need to spend time trying to get them to release the video. But they weren’t aware what evidence I had and they jumped at the opportunity to use a position of trust, where they are acting on behalf the Union Bay Community Club, hoping to harm another landowner. Plus, it’s just common sense to gather as much evidence as possible.

These are the morals of the people that represent you and this community. I think it stinks and I’m not shutting up.

Oh and Happy Easter Rick and Darcy. What would your god think of you?
