So who do you believe?  Is KIP really able to proceed or is it the same old story?  Are you willing to gamble when we are facing a time limit with VIHA?  KIP has not provided any information to indicate it can or will honour any agreement.

The following email exchange involving the coal hill remediation was provided by Janet Thomas and I have edited out her personal email address.  Everything else is original.  This is no time to accept a verbal promise from this developer.

Hi Janet,

You are correct, Gregg is currently on holiday returning next week on August 2. However, the status of the work remains the same as Gregg’s previous update to you on January 27, 2016. The final report remains under development and will not be available for release until it is submitted to the Ministry of Environment.

Regards,
Geoff

Janet,

A final remediation report has not been completed as the current
report is draft and conceptual. The final report will contain all
the engineering specification to allow for construction. When
completed this will be submitted to the Ministry of Environment.
When this occurs the report will be available to the public.

Hi, Mr. Stewart:

Thank you for your email regarding the status of the Union Bay coal
pile remediation.

I think my email which I sent to Mr. Duncan Williams may have crossed
in cyberspace with your email below since I received your email just
seconds after I sent the email to Mr. Williams.

Anyways, thank you for your explanation of the status of the
remediation.

Is the detailed engineering design for the Union Bay site available
to the public?

I look forward to hearing from you,
Janet Thomas

Janet,

I was forwarded an e-mail that you send to Duncan Williams inquiring
about the status of the remediation of the coal pile at Union Bay.

As you are likely aware the coal pile is located on Crown land
presently leased to West Fraser Mills Ltd. and private lands belong
to Kensington Island Properties with plans for a residential
development.

These two parties and the province have been in negotiations for a
long period of time including discussions about the detailed
engineering design for the Union Bay site. This process is at a
stage where we are finalizing negotiations through our respective
lawyers.
When this is completed there will be a better sense of when
remediation will commence and how long it will take to finish.
I am unable to provide exact timing at this point but it is
anticipated that this will happen in the next few months.

Sincerely,

Gregg Stewart P Geo
