Informed Union Bay landowners protest the illegal closing of the Union Bay Improvement District monthly meetings and show support for Trustee Susanna Kaljur.

A group gathered to peacefully protest the illegal actions taken by a rogue Chair who has cancelled the Feb. and Mar. 2019 monthly meetings without legal authority to do so.

The UBID office was locked at 1:40 p.m. when I arrived and a man was waiting for the office to open as he wanted to ask about the parcel taxes. A woman arrived to speak to someone about her water bill that she has not been receiving. No notice on the door and the phone recording states the office hours – but no one around. I’ve heard numerous times people have attended the office during the posted hours only to find the office locked and no notice as to why.

Thanks to all the folks who honked in support. More protests are being planned. This board is out of control – snubbing their noses at the democratic bylaws in place, preferring to make up rules depending on the situation. Dump these trustees.
