Yay! Plan on attending the swearing in of our two new trustees today at 2 pm at the UBID office. The public will only be able to attend the swearing in as there is an in camera session after. So when we (the public) walk out the door, Loxam and Jacques are also out the door as they are nobodies just like the rest of us once we have five sworn in trustees.
Very odd that the new trustees weren’t initially invited. Heard today that one of them found out this morning. No notice on the UBID website as usual. I hope we see big changes in the admin of the UBID.
Paul and Hein ran on the promise of following the wishes of the landowners who want to become a service area of the CVRD. We can’t afford to pay 100% of the costs of projects and we are too small to even consider becoming a municipality.
If we are struggling with the costs now, how could we even think about becoming a municipality and duplicating the services we now receive from the CVRD?
